Music, theatre, painting – all artistic expressions are aimed at bringing together different people, cultures and ideas, by expressing new and creative forms of common emotions. Culture and Arts transmit values such as dignity, respect, tolerance and, of course, creativity. Despite the cultural diversity in our world, culture and arts are an integrating element and help to connect people, countries and continents.
The art4pax Foundation supports this integration function and tries to promote through culture and art a more just, respectful and peaceful Society.
It is not a coincidence that the leaves in our logo resemble the Oak Tree. The Oak Tree is an important symbol of the town Gernika and the province of Biscay in the Basque Country. But the Oak is also a symbol for stability, efficiency and aesthetics. In this sense, the art4pax Foundation feels committed to these values and tries to promote aesthetics, to persecute stability and to implements its projects efficiently.
The Foundation art4pax was founded in 2008 and has its head office in Gernika, Biscay (Basque Country, Spain). It pursues the following aims:
